Well, I really don't know how I can relate empathy to my math class or any of my classes in school at all. I feel that empathy is less of an education thing and more of a personal thing. The only way that I can relate it to my math class is that my math teacher is really empathetic in that he understands when something happened at home and we were unable to complete an assignment and he also tends to carry more of an interest in us students personally, not only what we do in school but he likes to hear about things that we do outside of school and has interest in those things. That really helps me to feel more comfortable in his class and feel like I can make a mistake and he will understand and help work me through it.
